Who we are
DailyTaskr is a calm, focused daily planner that lets you add tasks, set priorities and schedules, and receive gentle reminders—without creating an account or sending your task data to our servers.
What data we handle
Data you create (stored on your device)
- Task details: titles, times, categories, priorities, completion status
- Reminder settings (e.g., 0 minutes to 1 day before, custom times)
- App preferences: sorting, filters, notification toggles, haptic/animation settings
- Widget state for home screen widgets
Where it's stored: In your device's local storage. DailyTaskr doesn't upload your tasks or settings to our servers. Your device backups (e.g., iCloud or computer backups you control) may include DailyTaskr data as part of normal device backup processes.
Data we don't collect
- No names, email addresses, or accounts required to use the app
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising identifiers
- No location, contacts, calendar, photos, microphone, or camera data
When you contact us
If you email us at dailytaskr@gmail.com, we'll receive the information you include (e.g., your email address and message). We'll use it only to respond and support you, and we'll delete or anonymize those communications when they're no longer needed.
Permissions and how we use them
- Notifications: Used to deliver local reminders you schedule in the app. You can enable/disable notifications in iOS Settings or per task in the app.
- Widgets: Home screen widgets display your tasks and progress locally on your device to help you stay on track.
DailyTaskr doesn't request access to your contacts, photos, calendar, location, Bluetooth, microphone, or camera.
Children's privacy
DailyTaskr is a general audience app and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has provided us personal information via email, contact us and we'll delete it.
Data retention and deletion
- On device: Your tasks and settings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
- Backups: Data may persist in your personal device backups according to your backup settings.
- Support emails: Retained only as long as needed to address your request.
How to delete your data:
- Delete tasks within the app, and/or
- Uninstall DailyTaskr to remove its local data from your device (note: data in your personal backups may remain until those backups are deleted or expire according to your settings).
Security
We design DailyTaskr to minimize data collection. Local data benefits from your device's built-in security (e.g., device encryption, passcode). No system is perfect, so we recommend keeping your device updated and protected.
International transfers
We don't transfer your in-app data to our servers. If you email us, your email will be processed by your and our email providers, which may involve international transfer according to those providers' standard operations.
Your rights
Depending on your region (e.g., EU/EEA, UK, California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. Since the app doesn't collect in-app personal data on our servers, these rights mainly apply to any information you choose to send us via email. CCPA/CPRA notice (California):
We don't "sell" or "share" personal information as defined by the CPRA. We don't use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics.
Third-party services
DailyTaskr doesn't include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Email communications rely on standard email providers (e.g., Gmail), which process messages according to their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements. We'll publish changes here and update the "Effective date" above. If changes are material, we'll provide more prominent notice where appropriate.
